The Alberta Justice and Solicitor General Regimental Pipes & Drums were formed in 2006.
The Band represents Sheriff’s, Corrections, Fish & Wildlife, Commercial Vehicle, Conservation & all Community Peace Officers.
The Band plays for Recruit Graduation Parades at the Justice Staff College as well as various ceremonies and parades around the Province.
The Band is made up of active & retired sworn Members of the Alberta Sheriff’s Branch, Alberta Correctional Services, Alberta Fish & Wildlife Enforcement Branch and the RCMP.
There are currently 15 Members in the Band.
Every November 11 the Band offers to come to a smaller community to observe Remembrance Day.
Five of the band members are veterans & almost all have a family connection to the military.
The Band has previously played at the Coalhurst, Vulcan, Crowsnest Pass, Jasper, Rocky Mountain House and Edson Legions on Remembrance Day.
This year we have the honour & pleasure to attend #208 Oyen Legion.
The Band will attend & play the Remembrance Day Service and will entertain in the Legion during the afternoon & evening of November 11.
